Upcycled places a strong emphasis on community participation and consultation throughout the various conservation processes and initiatives. This participatory approach allows community members to provide input and feedback, ensuring that their voices are heard and their concerns are addressed.

Since 2020, we have been working collaboratively with marginalised communities, leveraging their knowledge and expertise in the creation of upcycled products. These include, coasters, pots, accessories and many other exciting sustainable items.

This partnership not only benefits the environment but also aims to create a more inclusive and effective approach to conservation. By providing job opportunities in the production of recycled plastic and promoting community participation, Upcycled is able to create a model for conservation that prioritises both environmental and social sustainability.
